I, Michelle Mafra, attended the Litecoin Summit event, which took place on September 14 and 15, 2018, in San Francisco, California. The event was fantastic with an atmosphere that favored interaction with the participants and speakers - important people in the world of crypto currencies, from creators of blockchain codes to you-tubers who disseminate information about the technology.
The intention of the MamãeCrypto at this event was to gather as much information about Litecoin (LTC) to keep you informed about latest information. I made videos on my Youtube channel that shows a little of what went out behind the scenes.
Speech by Charlie Lee - The creator of Litecoin (LTC)
For those who do not know, Charlie Lee is the creator of Litecoin (LTC) and in his speech he initially focused on explaining why he sold all his Litecoins in the last all time high - an event that generated much controversy at the time. According to him, he did it because he wanted to have more time to devote himself to Litecoin and did not want to be influenced by his pocket.
He also commented on the growth of the currency despite the fall in value, since the level of mass adoption only increases. Charlie said that this low is not consistent with the growth that the currency presented this year. After Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC) is the safest currency and not even a government can attack it. He ended by saying that ‘we need to learn more about technology and know that all of this is just the beginning'.

Another brilliant talk was that of Diego Guriérrez from RSK Labs - one of the pioneers of blockchain technology - where he gave a fantastic explanation, which made the technical content easy to understand, and illustrated in a clear manner how corrupt and bankrupt our financial system is and the need for alternatives to avoid devaluation of our money - the crypto-coins preserve their value.
